Municipal Workers Trade Unions Alliance leaders condemned the alleged use of public vehicles to fix electricity faults
KARACHI:
Municipal Workers Trade Unions Alliance leaders, including the chairman, Zulfiqar Ali Shah and the general secretary, Farid Awan, condemned the alleged use of public vehicles to fix electricity faults in different areas across the city.
According to a statement on Sunday, they claimed that ruling party activists forcibly took five Saddar Town streetlight maintenance vehicles, two Lyari Town vehicles and five city district government Karachi vehicles from the KMC Workshop on Nishtar Road to fix Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) faults. “The municipal staff is not qualified to fix electrical faults and forcing them to do so put their lives at risk,” said a leader.
