Better Pay: Doctors boycott public hospital work
Doctors of the Young Doctors Association shall not go to work at the outpatient departments and operation theatres.
KARACHI:
The Young Doctors Association’s Dr Abbas Shah and the Joint Action Committee’s (JAC) Ameer Hassan have announced their intention to boycott work at several public hospitals across the province. The JAC, which was on a token strike since last week, shall now boycott the outpatient departments at Jinnah hospital and National Institute of Child Health, as their demands against the devolution of public hospitals to the provinces have not been met. Doctors of the Young Doctors Association shall not go to work at both the outpatient departments as well as operation theatres at public hospitals in Karachi, Nawabshah, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Larkana and Sukkur.
