LAHORE: Law enforcement agencies and Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) officials have located the Indian man who came to Pakistan on a religious pilgrimage and had been missing for the last four days.

Amarjeet Singh, 23, from Amritsar, was staying as a guest at the house of a Pakistani friend, Amir Razzaq, in Sheikhupura. They had made friends on Facebook.

After he arrived at Nankana Saheb, Singh contacted Amir and expressed his desire to meet. Amir Farooq invited Singh to his home and Singh went to the house, where he had been staying for the past three days. Singh misstated to his host that he had a visa valid for a stay of up to three months. When the news showed reports that Singh had gone missing, the host got worried and informed the ETPB that man was staying as a guest at his house. The authorities later collected him from the house in Sheikhupura.

He will be sent back to India via the Wagah border on Tuesday. He had come to Pakistan on April 12 to celebrate Baisakhi.
