Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Parvez Khattak on Monday clarified his earlier comments regarding the Senate elections and said party chief Imran Khan had instructed him to support Sanjrani, reported Express News.

Khattak's interim bail was also accepted today after he appeared before the court in a case pertaining to attacks on PTV and parliament during the 2014 sit-in.

The chief minister, while conversing with the media, lamented that his party was involved in a political protest, however, they were charged with terrorism cases.


While responding to a question pertaining to horse-trading in Senate elections, CM Khattak said that he had told Siraj-ul-Haq that he was informed by Bani Gala to support Sanjrani.

“Imran Khan asked us to support Senators from Balochistan,” he reiterated. “We raised our voices for supporting Senators from a small province.”

PTI decides not to end alliance with JI for now

“Whoever wants to blame me can keep blaming me,” he further added before inviting the person to come forward who accused him of giving money.

The chief minister said that only Imran can instruct him and expressed his displeasure over parliamentarians who sold their votes.
