The crackdown was launched on the orders of the Quetta division commissioner. Khoso was accompanied by DSP Sariab Saifullah Kethran, traffic police, district police and RTA officials during the crackdown. They confiscated two buses, three pick-ups and one rickshaw, and challaned over 15 other transport vehicles.

On the occasion, Khoso said, “The campaign against poor condition of transport vehicles and fake permit holders will continue as they are troubling the traders and causing traffic issues. No concession will be given to anyone in this regard.”
He said, “With the collaboration of police and other law enforcement agencies, this campaign will be extended to native areas of the provincial capital.”
With the help of this campaign, traffic problems would decrease and come under control, he added.
He warned the pick-up owners, who got permits for Karachi, to obtain No-Objection Certificates and permit from Quetta otherwise strict action would be taken against them.
Khoso said, “These transporters are causing millions of rupees losses to the national exchequer.”
