Hussain did not ask the authorities to restore the security over his house

Awami National Party Secretary-General Mian Iftikhar Hussain has informed the interior secretary through a letter that though he still faces threat to his life, police security has been his withdrawn from his house after the directives of Chief Justice Saqib Nisar.

The letter directed to the federal secretary interior has also been sent to chief justice, K-P IG police, chief secretary, and the home secretary.
Hussain, who had lost his only son in a terrorist attack, did not ask the authorities to restore the security over his house but just informed the high officials about the security situation and the sacrifices he and ANP workers have given for the country.
“I believe on Allah Almighty for my safety, and I’m committed to the causes and values that I have stood for this long journey but want to put it on record that I don’t have any security from the government now onwards,” said the letter.
