The new Islamabad International Airport (IIA), which was scheduled to start full operations on April 20, will now be inaugurated on May 3, 2018, according to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

The new airport in the federal capital is the biggest airport in the country in terms of landing and passenger handling facilities and has two 3.5 kilometre long runways.
