Rescue 1122 reports 833 crashes across Punjab
Statistics show that 391 drivers, 15 underage drivers, 135 pedestrians and 419 passengers were among the victim
LAHORE:
Rescue 1122 reported at least 833 road traffic crashes in all 37 districts of Punjab, which claimed nine lives and seriously injured 533 individuals during the past 24 hours on Thursday.
The injured were immediately shifted to different hospitals across the province for medical treatment. However, 403 people, who had sustained minor injuries, were discharged after being administered first aid.
Statistics show that 391 drivers, 15 underage drivers, 135 pedestrians and 419 passengers were among the victims involved in the road traffic crashes.
The data also reveals that 214 of the traffic accidents, affecting 212 people, were reported by the Lahore Control Room, placing the provincial capital at the very top of the list.
In second place is Faisalabad with 89 accidents and 101 victims, while Multan comes in at number three with 62 crashes and 65 victims.
