LAHORE:
As the investigations proceed in Eden Housing Society scam, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore is taking steps to blacklist the passports of the four partners of the administration of the society.

An investigator of the anti-graft watchdog told The Express Tribune that the bureau has formally initiated criminal proceedings against Eden Housing Scheme. They had already got the passport of the owner of Eden Housing projects blacklisted by the authorities concerned, he added. NAB had sent a letter in February to the interior ministry to put the name of the administration of Eden Housing Society on the Exit Control List (ECL). It was pending with the ministry since February 2018, he added.

He added that a committee to resolve the issues of the victims of the scam would be formed. NAB had already uploaded a form on its website for the victims to register their complaints.

A few weeks back, NAB Lahore Director General Saleem Shahzad had ordered an inquiry against all the projects of Eden when a large number of people had protested against the housing projects. In February, the NAB DG had held an open court to listen to the complaints of victims of corruption.
