Earlier this week, the FIA’s cybercrime wing declared a senior Punjab Police official as an absconder after he uploaded his wife’s private pictures and videos on social media. With the help of a friend, Arshad made a fake Facebook account and forwarded private pictures of his wife to her family. This was done in an attempt to prove her alleged “immorality” after she refused to allow him to marry another woman.
Arshad’s wife registered the complaint against him. During the investigation, the FIA concluded that Arshad was behind the creation of the fake account and registered a case against him. However, Arshad managed to flee after the court rejected his bail.
