Armed Encounters: 8 police officials abducted during Katcha operation

Ring leader of the kidnapper’s gang died in the encounter and two other bandits were injured.

Eight police officials abducted from a police chowki two days ago have yet to be recovered.

According to police officials, the incident occurred near the Sindh Punjab border in Katcha Karachi and eight cops who were abducted from a police chowki during an attack by an abduction-for-ransom network could not be recovered.

Assistant Superintendent (ASI) Nadeem Mazari and Constable Asif Bawarchi were killed during the attack on the Rajanpur Police on Thursday. Injured constables Ghulam Muhiuddin and Abdul Khaliq have been shifted to Sheikh Zyed hospital for treatment.


The ring leader of the kidnapper’s gang, Rana Imrani died in the encounter and two bandits Akram Sukhani and Kabul Mewa were injured. Eight police officials were abducted by the gang and have not yet been recovered.


Fearing more attacks Rajanpur Police have vacated two chowkis in Busti Rana Baloch and Busti Chakar Khan. In order to avert an escape by bandits, over 100 police have cordoned off the Bhong and Guddu barrage area.
