Man kills daughter, injures four other relatives

He later commits suicide

HYDERABAD:
A man allegedly attempted to kill his wife, daughter-in-law and four children before committing suicide in a residential area of Hyderabad on Tuesday. The incident occurred in Anwar Villas in the Qasimabad taluka.

Ahsan Lashari, 45-year-old rickshaw driver, and his eight-year-old daughter Shaheen succumbed to their injuries at a hospital. Four others, including Lashri's three children, 13-year-old Savera, five-year-old Marvi and three-year-old Afsana, and 20-year-old daughter-in-law Farhana Bari sustained bullet injuries. Savera is said to be in critical condition.

After visiting the place of crime, Hyderabad SSP Peer Muhammad Shah told the media that Lashari's mental health was unstable. He added that a shotgun, which was licensed in the name of Lashari, was used in the incident and had been recovered.


Two shot dead in separate incidents

SSP Shah informed the media that a forensic team had also collected evidence. "Although, it seems that Lashari killed himself and attacked other persons, however, the police will investigate the case before reaching a conclusion," he said.

Lashari's son is also a rickshaw driver and he was not present at the house when the the crime was allegedly committed. The FIR of the incident has not been lodged so far.
