Two brothers drown in River Jhelum

Two brothers as Fahad and Hammad were bathing in River Jhelum when both of them drowned

Two teenaged brothers drowned in River Jhelum in Jauhrabad police limits on Tuesday. The police said that two brothers identified as Fahad, 16, and 14-year-old Hammad, residents of Mohallah Hussainabad, were bathing in River Jhelum when both of them drowned. Rescue 1122 officials recovered the body of Hammad while efforts were on to find the body of Fahad. The police handed over the body to the heirs after necessary formalities. Meanwhile, a man was gunned down over old enmity in the precincts of Bhalwal police station. The police said that Muhammad Sohail, a resident of Nabi Shah Bala, had old enmity with Mazhar Shah. In a fit of rage, accused Mazhar Shah and his companions allegedly gunned down Sohail and fled the scene. Police have registered a case.
