Fire Threat: Timely response at Jinnah Super

ISLAMABAD: In a rare show of timely response by the fire and rescue department and gas authorities, a serious danger to lives and property of people was averted. On Saturday evening, gas leakage from a pipeline passing through Gol Market in Jinnah Super, a public place was reported. In minutes, the point of leakage caught fire. However, officials of gas department and personnel of fire and rescue department arrived at the scene. Supply to the gas pipeline was blocked and the fire department extinguished the small fire on the pipeline before it could spread. No casualties were reported.
