ISLAMABAD:
Police arrested on Monday a staffer of a five-star hotel in Islamabad who allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage boy inside a washroom on Saturday.
Police said the 13-year-old boy S* went for dinner at a restaurant inside Serena Hotel, where he was allegedly molested by a hotel staffer when in the bathroom.
The victim's family told police that the staffer restrained the boy and repeatedly touched his private parts. When the boy yelled out for help, the employee is said to have run away from the scene.
The family took up the matter with hotel management, however, the authority reportedly dilly-dallied the issue by telling the family that "ghosts might have done this to the boy".

Disappointed with the hotel management, the family called the Islamabad Police who registered a sexual abuse case against the alleged culprit who was in hiding.
On Sunday, the management then turned him over to the authorities. Consequently, the accused was sent into judicial custody on Monday.
The 24-year-old staffer worked as a sweeper.
During the interrogation, he told police that the boy could not figure out how to open the automatic faucet and he proceeded to help him with it.
He added that he noticed that the boy’s qameez was tucked in his shalwar and he just pulled it out, but by doing so, he inadvertently touched his genitals.
The boy claimed that the accused did this five times. The accused was produced before a magistrate on Monday and was sent to judicial custody.
