
A letter in this regard has been sent to all the District Education Authorities (DEAs) chief executive officers as well as the district heads of the Quaid-i-Azam Academy for Educational Development (QAED). The eight-day training would be held in three groups.
The training, called the School Leadership Development Programme (SLDP), would be carried out by the QAED and held throughout April and May. The training would be given to the heads of higher secondary, higher and elementary school heads from all the 36 districts of Punjab.
The letter sent for the training to CEOs read, “School leadership is quintessential pre-requisite to ensure access, quality, equity and good governance in the education sector.
Qualified and well-mentored school leadership translates into very effective schools where students are not only attending the schools but learning in line with our slogan 'Parho Punjab, Barho Punjab'.”
According to the schedule of the training, the first group would start the training between April 18 to 21 and May 4 to May 8. The second group would start the training from April 23, which would end on April 26. Also in the second group, another session would be held between May 9 to May 12, 2018. For the third group, the training would be held on April 27, 28 and May 2 and 3, whereas another session for the third group would be held from May 14 to May 17, 2018.
The letter also directed the DEAs CEOs to make sure that all the head teachers receive the leadership training as per the schedule given by the department. “All chief executive officers (District Education Authority) are requested to ensure 100% participation of head teachers in the leadership training as per schedule.
