SARGODHA: A 10-year-old child was gunned down in Sargodha on Friday.

Police said that Muhammad Bilal, a resident of Mohallah Faqeerabad, had a quarrel with children of Asad Khan while playing in the street.

In a bid to take revenge, Asad Khan entered Bilal’s house and opened fire, killing the boy on the spot.

The police shifted the body to a local hospital for legal formalities. A case has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the victim’s father. At least two people were killed in different incidents in Bhere and Shahpur police limits.

The police said that Muhammad Sharif of Phularwan was travelling on a motorcycle when a vehicle crushed him to death.

Meanwhile, Rescue 1122 officials recovered the body of 12-year-old Shahzeb from River Jhelum. Further investigation was underway. Also, the police claimed to have arrested four suspects and seized weapons from them.

A police official said that during checking at Salam Interchange, the police team flagged down a vehicle bearing registration number AFH-872 and arrested a man named Idrees. The police also confiscated automatic rifles, laptops, phones and bullets from the vehicle.

Similarly, Mianwali patrolling police arrested three suspects at Yaro Khel checkpost and seized a Kalashnikov, three rifles, four pistols and bullets from their possession.

The police registered separate cases against the accused and started investigation.
