The Investigation Wing of Police busted 188 criminal gangs and arrested their 461 members involved in robberies, murder and other heinous crimes during a crackdown on criminals in the last three months.
The police also recovered stolen property worth Rs138 million and illegal weapons from them.
The police traced 1,579 cases and chalalned 63 alleged killers. The police also arrested 1,689 proclaimed offenders, of them 417 were involved in heinous cases, and 732 were court absconders.
The accused have been challenged in 9,447 cases.
SSP Investigation Ghulam Mubashar Maken has announced cash rewards and commendatory certificates for the policemen, who arrested the criminals.
