An 18-year-old student died on Thursday after jumping on the track at a metro station in Istanbul, local media reported.

According to the Sabah daily, the high school student, a male identified as Baha Guzeycan, committed suicide by jumping on the track as a train was approaching the Sirkeci station of the Marmaray underground railway that connects the European and Asian sides of Istanbul under the Bosphorus Strait.
