One injured in scuffle outside Lahore sessions court

Defendant in murder case attacks prosecution team

LAHORE:
At least one person was injured in a scuffle on the premises of a sessions court in the provincial capital on Thursday.

The complainant, Imran, was attacked by five men after he came out of a pertaining to a murder case. He suffered a head injury after being hit by a brick. Two of the men who attacked him are accused are currently under trial.

Consequently, police arrested both parties involved in the brawl.

Two killed in crossfire between lawyers outside sessions court in Lahore



In February, at least two lawyers were killed and two sustained injuries as a scuffle broke outside a sessions court in Lahore. The casualties were a result of a crossfire between two groups of lawyers outside the court of Judge Sheikh Toseer-ur-Rehman, Express News reported. Advocate

Rana Nadeem died on the spot, while Owais Talib, the second lawyer, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

In January, at least two people, a police officer and an accused, died while another police officer was injured in a firing incident outside the Lahore sessions court.

The incident occurred when they tried to capture fleeing accused persons from the near the court.
