KARACHI:
Due to the absence of the additional advocate-general, the Sindh High Court postponed hearing a contempt of court application against Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Chief Secretary Rizwan Memon over failure to make laws regulating transfers and postings of police officers. The hearing of the case was postponed till April 24. The court has summoned the comments of the Sindh Cabinet on the draft law.
In the request filed, it has been stated that the inspector-general of police's recommendations were not incorporated in the Sindh police Transfer and Posting Act, 2017, which is against the court's order.

It was requested that contempt of court proceedings be initiated against the CM, chief secretary and others.
