‘Bar, bench cooperation essential for justice’

LHC CJ lays foundation of secretariat building and admin block

BAHAWALPUR: The cooperation of the bar and bench is necessary for speedy justice. Lawyers should be treated with respect as they ensure provision of justice to society.

This was stated by Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali as he spoke to lawyers and judges at the District Bar Room in Bahawalpur on Tuesday.

“Law is a most respectable profession and provision of justice is only possible through the hard work of lawyers and judges.”

The LHC chief justice added that steps were being taken for the welfare of judges and provision of vehicles to district judges was part of that process.

District and Session Judge Chaudhry Muhammad Tariq Javed briefed the chief justice about the significant steps beings taken for the provision of justice to the public in district courts. He also highlighted the district court’s performance and appreciated the positive relations with Bahawalpur District Bar Association.

On the occasion, District Bar Association President Muhammad Naeem Bhatti thanked LHC chief justice on his visit to Bar Room and said, “CJ’s visit to South Punjab is the reflection of the fact that he is with the lawyers.”

Earlier, Yawar Ali laid the foundation of secretariat building and admin block. The buildings will been equipped with monitoring and vigilance Cell, confidential cell, budget and accounts cell, scanning and cause list uploading cell, public relations cell, facilitation centre and healthcare centre etc.
