MULTAN: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) will pay salaries and pensions to more than 500 employees for another two months from its own resources due to shortage of funds. The PHA Multan had not received sufficient funds for payment of salaries to its 500 employees and pension to more than 20 former employees for the year 2017-18. The PHA administration was paying salaries and pension of over Rs20 million per month to its employees for the last three months from its own resources. However, different requisitions had been sent to provincial government for payments of funds to pay salaries and pensions to employees. PHA spokesman Jalaluddin informed APP that the approval of fund for salaries had been given for salaries and pensions of year 2018-19. He said that the funds of Rs300 million had been approved and would be transferred to the PHA accounts by the end of May, 2010, he added.
