Pakistan embassies in Beijing, Abu Dhabi, Tehran organise functions

ISLAMABAD: A function was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi to commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day, which was presided by Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE Moazzam A Khan.

There was a large number of Pakistanis including members of the Kashmiri community in the UAE assembled at the premises of the embassy to show solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren and condemned the human rights violations being committed by the Indian forces.

Ambassador Moazzam condemned the recent brutal and indiscriminate use of force by the Indian forces that resulted in the martyrdom of at least 20 young innocent Kashmiris in different incidents in Shopian and Anantnag in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK). He added that the mindless killing spree yet again exposed the ugly inhuman face of state terrorism, which India had been perpetrating against the Kashmiris for decades.

He said that such cowardly actions of the occupying forces only served to fortify the resolve of the Kashmiri people, and added that no amount of Indian propaganda to paint the legitimate and indigenous Kashmiri struggle as "terrorism" could succeed in misleading the world.

Pakistani community in UAE observes Kashmir solidarity day

The ambassador reaffirmed Pakistan's moral, diplomatic and political support to the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for their basic human rights especially the right to self-determination as recognized and promised in the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

He called upon the international community, particularly the United Nations to take cognizance of the plight of the Kashmiri people who have been subjected to unabated Indian atrocities and play their role in resolving the decade old issue of Kashmir in accordance with the UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiris.

Brochures, posters, booklets and articles relevant to the occasion were distributed amongst the participants. A documentary was also shown to the audience. Wide coverage was given to the cause through social media as well. The event concluded with special prayers for the Kashmiri martyrs and for the early resolution of Kashmir dispute.

China stands with Kashmiris

The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing on Friday organized an event to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day.

Ambassador Masood Khalid speaking on the occasion said that this event is dedicated to reaffirm Pakistan's unflinching diplomatic, political and moral support to the people of Indian occupied Kashmir, The ambassador said that despite India's oppressive policies to quell the movement of self-determination by the Kashmiri people, it was gaining strength. He added that the Indian draconian measures in occupied territory were well documented and even the Indian scholars and independent human rights groups have condemned Indian atrocities on the innocent Kashmiri people.

Tehran offers sympathises

The Embassy of Pakistan in Tehran organized a ceremony on Friday to observe "Kashmir Solidarity Day" with the people of the Indian occupied Kashmir.

Ambassador Asif Durrani, in his speech, paid homage to the sacrifices of the valiant Kashmiris and said the recent brutal use of force by the Indian forces has failed to suppress the indigenous struggle of the Kashmiri people aspiring for their right to self-determination.

Ambassador Durrani said that the Indian forces including the Indian army, Jammu and Kashmir police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Indian occupation forces have perpetrated a reign of terror and bloodshed and martyred more than 20 people, blinded youth by using pellet guns and injured scores of innocent peaceful Kashmiris in different parts of Shopian and Anantnag districts of IoK during the last one week.

Kashmir Solidarity Day to be observed today

The ambassador thanked the Iranian Supreme leader Ayattollah Syed Ali Khamenei and the government for supporting the cause of the Kashmiri Muslims and condemning the recent Indian atrocities in IoK. Syed Salman Naqvi and a senior student from Urdu Department, Tehran University, in their speeches, condemned the atrocities and human rights' violations being committed by the Indian forces in the IoK. Iranian scholars, academicians, intellectuals, media persons, members of Pakistani community, Pakistani and Iranian students from Urdu Department, Tehran University participated in the event.
