A Jodhpur court on Thursday sentenced Salman Khan to two years in jail and a fine of INR50,000 in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam were also accused in the same case but were not found guilty, reported CNN.

Twitter, of course, has been ablaze ever since the verdict was announced this morning.

Many Bollywood celebs came forward to lend support to the Dabangg star.

Some users were not satisfied with the outcome of the case.

Others felt that the two-year sentence was a bit too harsh.

A lot of people are pretty sure the actor will be granted bail in no time.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next...
