LAHORE:
A legislator of the opposition benches demanded the government stop the sale Pakistani lands to foreigners because it is tantamount to enslaving poor people. In his resolution submitted in the Punjab Assembly on Monday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Dr Murad Rass demanded the federal government stop the sale of Pakistani land to foreigners. “Our atomic assets and national security will be at risk if we continue selling our lands to foreigners.” He said that selling land may create big problems for Pakistan in the future. He added that China had enough resources and could even buy the country. He requested the house to introduce the same legislation which prevailed in the United Arab Emirate (UAE) and was related to selling properties.
