Accident: Fire breaks out in temple
Many holy books were burnt when a fire broke out in Prem Prakash temple in Shikarpur district.

Many holy books were burnt when a fire broke out in Prem Prakash temple in Shikarpur district early Thursday morning. The cause of the fire was an electrical short-circuit, said the caretaker of the temple, Sabhan Das. The remains of the holy books were brought to Sukkur and taken to temple Sadh Bello, situated on the River Indus. The Hindu panchayat general secretary, Mukesh Kumar, told The Express Tribune that the Sadh Bello is the “mahan asthan” and all important events take place there. After completing the rituals, the remains of the holy books were placed in the river.
