11-foot alligator takes a swim in couple's indoor pool in Florida
Animal rescue hauls alligator out of pool
A Florida couple woke up to an unwanted surprise as an 11-foot alligator was taking a dip in their swimming pool, according to The Independent.
The reptile broke through their fence and chose to cool off by taking a swim.
Patricia Carver said that when her husband woke her up she could hear noises coming from the pool.
Carver added that when they saw the alligator they immediately informed the police.
Authorities arrived on the scene and called animal rescue who hauled the alligator out of the pool.
Carver believes that receding water levels in local lagoons might have encouraged the reptile into her pool.
