'I am sure Mr Kovind, the President of India, also does not know Tiger Shroff's name,' joked a Twitter user

Remember Alia Bhatt's political snafu on Koffee With Karan a couple of years ago, when she forgot the name of the president of India? Well, looks like Tiger Shroff just recreated it.

Currently working in the second installment of Karan Johar's Student of the Year, Shroff had his 'Alia Bhatt moment' in a video that went viral over the weekend. The actor, while promoting Baaghi 2, failed to name India’s president as well. He said only managed to say, and wrongfully so, "Mr Mukherjee."

It was then that his co-star and rumoured girlfriend Disha Patani came to his rescue and answered the question correctly.

During an interview with the ABP News, Shroff was asked, "Who is the president of India? In reply, he said, “Oh God, that’s a tough one,” and finally uttered ‘Mr Mukherjee’."

The same question was then passed on to Patani who immediately said, “Kovind, Ram Nath Kovind.”

And Twitter is bemused.
