'Race 3' producers adamant on working with Atif Aslam, despite ban
No comments have been made by the 'Aadat' singer yet
LAHORE:
Despite the ban on Pakistani artists working in Bollywood, it seems like many Indian film-makers are still keen on across-the-border collaboration. This is evident from the recent reports of Atif Aslam being approached by Indian film producers to lend his voice to a song from upcoming Salman Khan-starrer Race 3.

Many Indian artists are in favour of letting Pakistani stars work in their country. They said art has no boundaries and such collaborations are necessary for the welfare of the entertainment industries.
According to sources, the producers of Race 3 have gotten in touch with Aslam. However, no comments have been made by the Pakistani singer, himself.

Aslam has previously sang for the first two installments of the Race franchise. He sang Pehli Nazar Mein for Race in 2008 while 2011's Race 2 featured two of songs by him, namely Beintehaa and Allah Duhai Hai.
Pehli Nazar Mein, in particular, gained a lot of popularity amongst the masses and was also one of the reasons behind the film's success.

Earlier last month, the Indian Motion Picture Association requested the Indian prime minister to implement a ban on Pakistani artists working in India.

Industry insiders are expecting strong backlash to the Aadat singer's involvement with Race 3. It had also been reported earlier that Khan will be serving as a lyricist for some songs of the film. Who knows if Aslam might just be crooning the words of the Dabangg star in Race 3?
