VU organises conference on hereditary diseases
Experts and practitioners present latest innovations and advances in diagnosing and treating hereditary diseases

Virtual University organised a one-day international conference on Hereditary Diseases; Molecular Diagnosis and Prevention Strategies on Thursday. The event was organised by the department of molecular biology and the faculty of science and technology in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission. A total of 10 research papers were presented in two sessions.
Experts and practitioners presented the latest innovations and advances and shared their experience in diagnosing and treating hereditary diseases. They also emphasised the need for molecular diagnosis and genetic counselling.
They discussed molecular identification of infectious diseases, cancer genetics and congenital and hereditary abnormalities of rheumatology.
