The agreement was inked by TEVTA Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh and Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Collector Jamil Nasir at the TEVTA Secretariat.
While speaking to participants, Irfan Qaiser Sheikh explained that as part of the MoU, TEVTA will be responsible for provision of Chinese Language teachers for course of employees of MCC Lahore at Mughalpura Dry Port. He said TEVTA will bear all expenses and certificates will be provided to the officials. Similarly, he added that MCC will provide classrooms or labs with facilities for Chinese Language at the dry port.
Regarding the course of import and export documentation, Irfan was of the view that TEVTA will start this course at one of its institutes in Lahore for youngsters. “We will also revise the course curriculum with the consultation of MCC to cater to their requirements,” he maintained.
The TEVTA chief pointed out that MCC will provide experts as well as material for revision of curriculum and list of trainers if required by TEVTA.
