School children from Pakistan and India exchanged letters for peace. The Citizens Archive of Pakistan (CAP) and the Indian nonprofit Routes2Roots helped connect the younger generation of the two nations.
CAP and Routes2Roots initiated the program “Exchange for change” to bring the younger generation of the two arch rivals together to breed peace. The purpose is to develop channels of communication for children of Pakistan and India to know about the similar culture they share.
The video features the words exchanged by 2400 school students from Pakistan and India. It has students dressed up in their school uniforms, writing letters to their fellows. The students shared their future goals, discussed cricket and hoped to stay connected. The smile on their faces is a reasonable indication of a peaceful future.
