Illegal Connections: 16 arrested for stealing power
Suspects accused of using electricity through direct connections
PESHAWAR:
The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) and relevant authorities arrested 16 people in Mardan on Monday, charging them with power stealing. The suspects were accused of using electricity through direct connections. According to PESCO, they were fighting against the illegal use of electricity throughout the province. Due to this reason Pesco Mardan – 1 Division teams along with Pesco police searched various premises within the jurisdiction of Takhtbai and Hari Chand subdivisions and arrested nine people on the spot on charges of using illegal electrical connections.
