PESHAWAR: Taking a swipe at the incumbent government, Qaumi Watan Party provincial chairman Sikandar Hayat Sherpao has said that there was growing uncertainty amongst the people.

Addressing a joint meeting of the Peshawar district and city bodies of the party in the Watan Kor area of Peshawar on Sunday, he accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government of failing to deliver while their incompetency meant that the province’s economic rights were not protected.

“Due to their limited vision, the provincial government led by the PTI did not rightfully protect the economic rights of Pashtuns in the province or maintain their financial development for overcoming their problems, thereby exposing its credentials” Sherpao deplored.

The QWP chief noted that the PTI had instead adopted a hostile stance whereby it was unable to effectively state the province’s case for K-P’s share of the National Finance Commission (NFC) award, the National Economic Council (NEC) and in other constitutional forums, which negates the tall claims of the government.

“The (PTI) leaders were only busy in political manoeuvring and sloganeering, but have not worked practically to shape their policy for the wellbeing of the people” he regretted.

He added that the people have now seen the true faces of the rulers and would reject them in the.  Taking aim at the Billion Tree Tsunami project, Sherpao claimed that it was only present on paper and that there was no ground reality.

It is a serious case of irregularities and misappropriation and NAB should thoroughly probe the matter.

Sikandar The QWP leader vowed to make a renewed push for the democratic uplift of the society, protect the rights of the Pashtuns.

On this occasion, Malik Niaz Ali of PPP along with scores of his supporters announced that they were joining QWP.
