Both exhibits highlight the importance of arts and culture within Pakistan

The work of both artists highlighted the importance of arts and culture within Pakistan.
When you do site-specific work, the place really matters. We conducted multiple meetings with artists and architects to see which work would be best suited to which location, said Qureshi.
My work is displayed in a cluster using red and gold. The red signifies blood; an idea which was born of the bloodbath in Shahi Hammam, he explained.
Events like these highlight contemporary arts in our society. I appreciate the efforts of the government in this regard, he stated.
Khalid's work was focused on the importance of restoring Lahore to its original glory. Her work featured a mirror placed in the main dome reflecting the building, an orange stripe running across it; a symbol for the new development project in the city.
Lahore is my birthplace so I feel a deep connection with this city, she said. The first thing that came to my mind was how much it has changed in the last 10 years. There are new buildings, bridges and development projects meant to help people. However, as an artist, I find this painful, she expressed.
