As many as 66 examination centres have been declared sensitive due to prevalence of cheating, said BISE Hyderabad Chairperson Prof Dr Muhammad Memon while addressing a press conference in Hyderabad on Sunday. Of the sensitive centres, 14 are in Shaheed Benazirabad, 11 in Hyderabad and seven each in Thatta, Jamshoro, Tando Allahyar and Dadu districts.
Prof Memon said that Hyderabad DIG Javed Alam Odho had appointed a police official as the focal person in each of the 10 districts. He added that the police would be deployed at each centre while the sensitive ones would have additional deployment of the force.

"BISE Hyderabad is the first examination board in Sindh to introduce printing centre codes on question papers so that if the paper is unlawfully released prior to the examination from any centre, the authorities will be able to identify the centre," Prof Memon said.
He also stated that the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) had been provided the examination schedule of all the districts and had been requested to avoid load-shedding during the examination hours. However, the BISE chairperson did not verify whether Hesco had accepted the request.
With an addition of more than 7,500 students in comparison to the previous year, 70,837 students of class nine and 66,909 of class 10 will appear for the examinations, which will conclude on April 9.
