LAHORE: A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court praying to link extradition of any foreign terrorist, arrested in Pakistan, with the permission of a competent court.

Barrister Javed Iqbal Jaffree, the petitioner, alleged that the Pakistani government had been handing over Pakistanis to America for kickbacks.

He said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had given Aimal Kansi and Yousaf Ramzi to the US. Former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf had also handed over thousands of innocent Pakistanis to the US, the petitioner alleged.

The petition prayed that extradition of any terrorist wanted by another state be linked with court permission so that sovereignty of the country remains intact.
