Provincial police chief says his doors are opened for heirs of martyrs

Balochistan Inspector General of Police (IGP) Moazzam Jah Ansari has said that the security forces have shed their blood for the country and will continue to do so in the future.
“The Balochistan Police has added a golden chapter to the history of Pakistan, which is written with the blood of martyrs,” said the provincial police chief on Thursday.
Regarding Pakistan Day, he said that March 23 marked the momentous occasion when Muslims of India resolved to struggle for an independent state based on principles of equality and justice.
"Twenty years before the creation of Pakistan, our founding father Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had announced a political movement for the rights of the people of Balochistan, which was strongly opposed by Nehru and other Congress leaders," said the police chief.
“Qazi Essa was nominated as head of All India Muslim League in Balochistan, and the people of the province, particularly the youth, participated and strived for independence," he added.
IG Ansari added that Pakistan was going through a critical phase with an increase in the number of terrorist acts and Balochistan police along with other law enforcement agencies were eliminating terror outfits from the province.
He said problems being faced by heirs of martyrs would be resolved on priority basis and “my doors are opened for the heirs of martyrs, and they can come any time to meet me”.
The Balochistan IGP said that police jawans rendered countless sacrifices for maintaining law and order situation to make the society crime free, adding that a total of 878 policemen, including 47 officers, 126 subordinate officers, 691 jawans and 14 others, have been martyred.
“Our young generation is our asset and it will work for the development of the country,” said Ansari.
The IGP said a number of measures were being taken by the Balochistan government to address the menace of terrorism and other crimes.
He said that a summary was sent to Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo for enhancement of police Bed Head Unit (BHU) to 30 beds in the hospital, 200 motorcycles for Eagle Scout, computer and science labs for male and female sections, six permanent vacancies for training instructors for Police Grammar School, provision of new rule of law for special branches and traffic police departments and construction and renovation of police station buildings, including 28 development projects for officers of the police department.
He said that the Balochistan CM had sanctioned funds to fulfil all demands of the department and implementation on all the measures would be ensured soon.
The provincial police chief said, “We have a great privilege of calling ourselves Pakistanis, the sovereign citizens of a sovereign country. If each one of us, whoever it might be, from whatever occupation, gave our absolute best with the right intentions, it won't be long before our contemporary challenges turn into opportunities.”
