LAHORE: At least 95,000 students have been provided apprenticeships by Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) during three years. This is the largest number as compared to any other similar organisation.

These views were expressed by TEVTA Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while addressing a meeting of officials at the TEVTA secretariat on Thursday.

He said that three years ago, this number was just 12,000 and then TEVTA decided to focus on the apprenticeship programme. He added that with special focus, the number was increased to 95, 000 and soon the number of students exceeded 0.2 million.
