Experts from home and abroad underlined the need for promoting healthy lifestyle

Better food-choice, weight management and daily exercise form the the core of healthy lifestyle, said experts during a conference at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Wednesday.

Experts from home and abroad underlined the need for promoting healthy lifestyle at the moot arranged by the university’s department of Home and Health Sciences.

The conference was held to deliberate upon society-related issues, with special reference to UN sustainable development goals. Its main motto was ‘go green, get healthy’. Dr Sania Nishtar, Co-Chair of the High-Level Commission on Non-Communicable diseases,  highlighted the problems, like malnutrition and undernutrition, being faced by the society. Air pollution also leaves a very negative impact on the human-health, she added.
