A man allegedly killed his wife in the University Town area of Peshawar on Wednesday. The suspect is believed to be an employee of the Customs department. According to details, Ali Ahmad Shah, a resident of Hayatabad, told the University Town police, that his sister Gul Sanga was married to Mian Salman Yaqub for the past 15 years. On Wednesday, he said, he got a call that his sister had been shot. Hearing this, he rushed to his sister’s house located in University Town. “I found her lying in a pool of her own blood,” Shah said, adding that he rushed his critically injured sister to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
