CECOS University convocation: ‘Knowledge an irreplaceable asset’

As many as 400 students conferred degrees

Knowledge is an irreplaceable asset which is why education is high on the government’s agenda.

This was stated by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra while addressing the convocation ceremony of CECOS University in Peshawar on Wednesday.

Terming education a constant process, he said that this was why higher education today had virtually reached the doorstep of students across the province.

The governor, who is also the patron of the university, conferred degrees to a total of 400 graduating students of various disciplines.

As many as 46 students were awarded gold medals for their distinctive achievement in their respective disciplines.

“Your persistent efforts and hard work have finally paid off and you are about to enter a new chapter of your lives where fresh challenges and opportunities await you,” the governor said.

He appreciated the services of the university for securing respectable position amongst the top universities of the country especially engaged in the field of Engineering and Computer Science and Information Technology.
