Travellers get 'Smiley Visa' at Dubai airport

A smiley face was stamped on travellers passports by officers as part of Happiness Day.

Visitors arriving at the Dubai International Airport on Tuesday were surpised by General directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai, welcoming them with the title ‘Welcome to the Happy UAE’ with a smiley face design.

Not just the welcome but the Dubai Metro commuters received surprise gifts at several stations distributing more smiles on Happiness Day, according to Gulf News.

Celebrating the International Day of Happiness and the Happiness Week, travellers were given free Happiness Bus rides from several metro stations including Mall of the Emirates, Burjuman, Union Square, Al Ras, Al Rashidiya, Dubai Mall, JLT and Al Jaffaliya.




Series of activities which included surprise gifts for travellers was launched by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
