String's latest single 'Sajni' hits the right chords
This is the first song from the band's latest album '30'
KARACHI:
For quite a while, Strings have been annoucing that they are working on something very special to celebrate their 30 years of creating music. The band later revealed that they would be releasing a new album with the first single coming out on March 17 - TODAY.
Behold! Sajni is out!
While the song still maintains the signature Strings style, it also comes with a strong new spice. The video, directed by Yasir Jaswal captures the true essence of 'What is Strings?'. It also channels very retro vibes with colours that match the beat of the song. Not to forget, there are also some hints of the Mera Bichra Yaar video.
A disturbed Faisal Kapadia, visiting doctor Bilal Maqsood for his regular session - where the former reminices on his journey with the band, waking up as fresh and happy as ever.
In terms of music, the song follows the same Strings suit. The right amount of strumming with the perfect thumping of the drums, Sajni is a complete package that screams Strings.
Starting off in 1988, the band has come a long way, however, unlike most pop bands, Strings has only soared high in the sky - with every song. Once again, with Sajni, Kapadia and Maqsood prove that there cannot be another Strings in Pakistan for decades to come - at least.
