A man named Waseem Abbas was travelling on his motorcycle with his family on Lahore’s Multan Road, near the Yateem Khana Chowk when his four-year-old daughter Mahrukh was killed due to the sharp kite string slitting her throat open.
The motorcycle also went spiraling out of control, sending Wasim, his wife and three children falling on the road.
The onlookers came to help the injured family and shifted them to the Samanabad Hospital.

This was the second time in a week that the illegal, sharp kite string caused a death.
While the Millat Park, Samanabad and Nawan Kot police stations were busy fighting amongst each other over jurisdictional procedures over the lodging of this incident.
DSP Samanabad allowed the little girl’s dead body to be given to her family for burial. While the Millat Park police station registered the case against unidentified persons.
