ISLAMABAD: A delegation of experts from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), working for various government organisations in Pakistan, has sought input from the private sector.

During a visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), the delegation members said that they were working as JICA experts for the Board of Investment, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and Engineering Development Board for which they want the private sector’s input for further reforms in key sectors of the economy.

They said they were working for developing an investment guidebook for Pakistan in order to lure more local and foreign investment in the country. They said that the suggestions of the business community would be given due consideration, adding that they are working towards greater automation and digitisation of Pakistan’s industry to ensure increased growth.
