Not expecting improvement in ties with India: FM Asif
Statement comes a day after three UN observers escaped Indian army’s attack along LoC

Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Thursday said is not expecting improvement in relations between Pakistan and India due to the constant ceasefire violations by India.
"India is violating ceasefire agreement time and again on the Line of Control and working boundary. In such circumstances we are not expecting improvement in relations between the two countries," Asif was quoted as saying by Radio Pakistan.

The foreign minister's statement came a day after three UN observers narrowly escaped the Indian army’s attack along the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) with two civilians being seriously injured in the incident.
After news of the incident broke, protesters gathered in the Abbaspur market and staged an anti-India rally condemning its aggression.
Islamabad has been urging New Delhi to respect the 2003 ceasefire arrangement, investigate the incidents of ceasefire violations, instruct Indian forces to respect the ceasefire in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC. However, the violation of the truce has still been continuing.

In January, while expressing concern over the situation developing along the LoC between Pakistan and India, the UN Secretary General António Guterres stressed the two nations to resume talks.
"India is violating ceasefire agreement time and again on the Line of Control and working boundary. In such circumstances we are not expecting improvement in relations between the two countries," Asif was quoted as saying by Radio Pakistan.
