Independent offices: Land for K-PCSW announced
Under special directives, Pervez Khattak pledges to build separate secretariat for Commission on the Status of Women

In a bid to better address problems faced by women, the provincial chief executive has announced to grant land to build separate offices for the provincial commission on women.
Under special directives, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak pledged land to build a separate secretariat for the Commission on the Status of Women and for separate restrooms for female staff of the Civil Secretariat, read a statement issued by the commission on Friday.
The pledge for the land was announced by Amra Khattak, the wife of CM Khattak who was attending a programme organised by the K-PCSW and the Gender Studies Department of the University of Peshawar on the eve of International Women's Day.
The programme, held at the at CM Secretariat, was attended by the students of Gender Studies Department, representatives of civil society, and government.
