The vice principal of Red Crescent Medical college, Lahore was arrested during the visit of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar on account of having charged excess fees.

Vice Principal Justice Nisar met the students on Friday at the college located in Phool Nagar, Express News reported.

They conveyed how the administration had taken millions of rupees from them as fees besides other charges as donation.


Justice Nisar inquired as to what facilities the college was offering in return for high fees. He also questioned as to how the administration was collecting Rs2.5 as fees from the students.

Subsequently, Justice Nisar ordered the accounts office to be sealed, besides directing the FIA to investigate the matter and confiscate the record and produce it in the court.

He also ordered the college to return within a week the fees amounting to Rs0.8 million. He warned that the FIA will take further action if the money was not returned to the students.
